One of the most common questions I get asked by my students is "Where do I get my projects printed?"

First, Understand that it is YOUR responsibility to have your major projects output for class. Not doing this can effect your grade detrimentally.

The Academy now offers an In-house Print Shop, X-Press @ the Academy, located on the first floor of the main campus. You can contact them through the following contact information:

Some Tips:
What you must ALWAYS do before going to have your project output.

Always call the printer FIRST! You may be wasting a lot of time, and possibly money if you just walk into the printer with your file sight unseen. These are the things you should ask them before you go.

• Do they have your program? (Would be a wasted trip if they didn't have the program eh?)
• What version of the program do they have?
• Do they have your operating system? (Did you do it all with Mac Fonts? They work on a PC)
• If they do NOT have your program (or even if they do and you want to keep it simple) will they take
PDF files? If you make a PDF, make sure your files are exported for print quality!
• File collect properly!

A note about Kinkos:

Kinkos is really just geared towards outputting things like office reports. They are NOT used to handling high end graphic files! It's very likely you will be dealing with someone who does not know the programs you have been using. More often than not this is a recipe for disaster. For this reason, I DO NOT recommend that you use Kinkos.
